I'm moving from a half helmet and I was looking for comfort and a little more protection from the wind without being completely isolated from it. At highway speed with the half helmet it felt like I was being lifted out of the saddle. That doesn't happen with this helmet. The aerodynamics on this helmet seem much better than the half helmet.A word about styling. On my first day wearing it I got three compliments about it. That never happened with my usual black helmets. The styling is really leaps and bounds beyond the normal graphic stickers on your usual helmet. The helmet is amazingly comfortable and I love the locking strap. I don't know how will it would hold on if I ever hit the ground (and really don't want to find out) but it seems very secure and not likely to fail anytime soon. All of these helmets are size medium. I ordered the Nexx Vintage in size medium and could not even get it on my head. I sent it back and ordered a large. When I tried it on, all I wanted to do was take it back off fast. It was so tight that it hurt. I sent this one back and ordered an XXL. When I tried It on I almost ripped my ears off to get my head in it, and when it was on it came down over my eyes and was still squashing the sides of my head. The inside is hard with little padding. I don't think this was even designed for a human head. |
